Apparently determined to be one step ahead to outwit the plans of the Nnamdi Anyaehie faction of the PDP to frustrate his plans to clinch the Imo PDP governorship ticket in 2019, a Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon.Emeka Ihedioha has commenced subtle moves that will not derail his ambition which is to clinch the party’s governorship ticket in 2019.
It was learnt that Ihedioha had set up structures outside the party across the wards in the State with the name “Team Ihedioha” made up of his political footsoldiers that will oil his 2019 governorship ambition.
Ihedioha who won the PDP Governorship ticket in 2015 has been blamed for all the troubles in party by the Nnamdi Anyaehie faction of the party.
A factional chair of the PDP, Nnamdi Anyaehie had accused the former Reps member of tearing the party apart in his desperation to pick the party’s governorship ticket.
Ihedioha has been the major pillar backing the Charles Ezekwem leadership.
According to sources, the Team Ihedioha is all in the wards across the state and they will synergize with the Ezekwem faction in the party in drumming the 2019 governorship ambition of the former deputy speaker.
This newspaper learnt that the group have held inugural meetings to outline strategies of moving forward. The Team according to sources will be meeting from time to time to advance the ambition of the former lawmaker at the grassroots.
Also some youth groups are coming up in the name of the PDP chieftian across the local governments in the State. Online pictures seen by this newspaper showed Ihedioha speaking to a youth group set up in his name at Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area.
