The unknown soldier has been well celebrated in Nigeria. For successive years, fallen heroes who put their lives along the line defending the country have been well honoured by the Nigerian government.
This is worth commending and should be encouraged at all times.
But aside the rhetoric of celebrating the event annually, it is important we ask how has the Federal Government taken care of family members whom their breadwinner lost their lives in the line of engagement. This is very pertinent because we have seen how some family members of fallen soldiers have been neglected.
