Curfew In Imo: Motorists Warned To Stay Off The Roads

To ensure compliance to the curfew imposed in Imo State by the state government, the State Ministry of Transport has said it will keep off motorists off the roads across the state

A statement by the Ministry on Thursday, said “after a stakeholders meeting with the leadership of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Amalgamated Drivers Association, Busimo and Taximo Association, National Association of Transport Owners (NARTO) and all other transport unions and associations, resolved to ensure that their members keep off the road immediately in compliance with the curfew declared by the state government”

“Let it be sounded as a warning at this juncture that any motorists found on the road will be arrested and his/her vehicle impounded by the security operative deployed to ensure compliance to the curfew” part of the statement stated.
