Traditional Rulers in Uratta Nation have said they do not recognize Amaobi Uwaleke, as one of them.

In a letter to Governor Hope Uzodimma,  dated February 21, 2022 and signed by HRH Eze Sir Amb, Bon Iheanacho Ariri, HRH, Eze Dr. E.C Okoro, HRH, Eze Benedict Nwaneri, HRH, Eze Innocent Opara and Eze Chibundu, the monarchs declared that “That we disclaim our acceptability and recognition of a non Eze in the person of Chief Amobi Uwaleke”

“The presence of one non recognized Eze in Imo State and within Uratta, Chief Amobi Mike Uwaleke as recognized Eze is not in support of any kind/authority”

“We make this solemn declaration voluntarily and in consonant with the laws guiding the traditional rulers of Imo State, Nigeria

While pledging their loyalty to the Governor, the traditional rulers recalled that the annual Onwa Oru festival  was held on February 19, 2022 “under the traditional supervision of Nde Oha Uratta in conjunction with the Uratta Development Association, UDA, where we the traditional rulers are the customs and traditions custodians”  

They stated that “the presence of one non recognized Eze in Imo State and within Uratta, Chief Amobi Mike Uwaleke as recognized Eze is not with our support of any kind authority.
