*Vows To Drag Party To Court In Next 48 Hours If It Fails To Produce Indictment Report*
Former Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Godfrey Dikeocha, has lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP over its recent statement on APC Senatorial candidate for Imo East, Prince Alex Mbata.
The PDP had in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Collins Opurozor, called for Mbata’s arrest over IMSU white paper.
Dikeocha, who is the Director General of Prince Alex Mbata Divine Mandate, PAMDM, in a statement in Owerri, demanded that the PDP should produce the indictment report on Mbata in the next 48 hours or face legal action
The full statement reads:
“The attention of PRINCE ALEX MBATA DIVINE MOVEMENT CAMPAIGN ORGANISATION has been drawn to a puerile hogwash press release issued by the disoriented and almost extinct opposition PDP “rebuild Imo faction”Imo state Signed by one Collins Opuruzor, dated 10TH September,2022.
“Ordinarily, The Prince Alex MBATA Divine movement campaign organisation (PAMDM) wouldn’t have bothered responding to such unsifted, unsubstantiated kindergarten drivel of an angry, frustrated faction of Imo PDP issued by an inconsequential element named Collins OPURUZOR but because of the unsuspecting members of the public who need to be better informed, we respond as follows:
1)There’s no ‘indictment’ against Prince Alex MBATA by any Imo state or any other Government white paper and we challenge This Imo PDP Faction to produce such indictment against Prince Alex Mbata within 48 hours or face legal action against the rebuild Imo Faction & the hapless Collins Opuruzor as he who alleges must prove!
In any case, without going into any needless legal arguments here,it needs to be clarified here that The Supreme Court of Nigeria has stated unequivocally in The case of Rotimi Amechi V Rivers state Government that a white paper cannot validly indict any citizen as it’s a mere administrative report as it’s only a law court that is vested with such powers of indictment! We therefore advise The rebuild Imo Faction of Imo PDP & MR Opuruzor to get better informed by educating themselves better on what an indictment means!
2) A similar hireling that was used by similar political wayfarers to try to soil and defame the good name of Prince Alex Mbata has since realised the folly in that mission & has since apologised to Prince Alex Mbata having found out that there was no iota of truth in such unsubstantiated wild allegation.
3)Prince Alex Mbata never drew any salary, personal emolument or enjoyed any perquisites of office throughout his tenure as Pro chancellor & Chairman of IMSU Governing council.The records are there for all to verify.
4) Prince Alex Mbata never signed or authorised the issuance of any letter terminating the contract as claimed by Rebuild Imo faction of PDP & MR Opuruzor. The termination of any NEEDS or TETFUND funded contract has never been and was never within the powers of a pro chancellor as it’s always handled by The fund .
“When the ill fated ‘Rebuild Imo’ Government was in power, it never took notice of the existence of another white paper on this same subject matter that was in existence before it came to power!
“And that white paper never raised any issue of note against Prince Alex Mbata.Their not taking the said white paper into cognisance was because of “The block heads” in charge of Governmental affairs then. The said rebuild state Government secretary wasn’t thorough enough to know of the existence of such white paper before hurriedly advising the said Government to set up another panel of inquiry in their rabid desire to criminalise their political opponents through any subterranean means whatsoever.
5)The innuendo put up by the Ill informed MR Opuruzor by comparing Prince Alex Mbata with known criminal elements like Anini etc,that used to terrorise Nigeria has been noted & shall be relied upon in the near future while seeking justice to clear the good name of Prince Alex Mbata.
6) unlike Prince Alex Mbata,The leadership of rebuild Imo faction of PDP earned their stupendous unexplained wealth through their stay in Government service as there’s no evidence to show any verifiable private business or venture they engaged in before their sudden wealth. Need I warn that those who live in glass houses should avoid throwing stones!
Prince Alex Mbata is a well known industrialist & global leader in The oil and gas sector & has never executed a single Government contract.
“Prince Alex Mbata stands on a higher moral ground & pedestal than all The leadership of The rebuild Imo faction of PDP. We wish to warn that we are in custody of verifiable facts that discloses an incident where a foremost party official of rebuild Imo faction of Imo PDP received multi millions about 2004/2005 from then Imo Government to do a study on Imo industrial clusters & he disappeared into thin air without issuing a single report! If we are pushed further, we shall not hesitate to release documents on this issue!
“7)The penchant of The leadership of rebuild Imo faction of Imo PDP in unsuccessfully dragging the name of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma into all their messy situation is well known & the ones they did in their watery press release is one of such fruitless attempts to drag The Governor’s name into their low muddy ground! We are therefore treating such as one of the tantrums of a sore loser.
8)The philanthropic gestures of PRINCE ALEX MBATA are known all over Nigeria, from Lagos to Abuja to The entire south east . Prince Alex MBATA’s traducers are just envious of his unparalleled success story in philanthropy which The leadership of Rebuild Imo faction of Imo PDP can’t match either yesterday, now or in the future as they are selfish “fo nfoju akpa”politicians that only know how to line their pockets with Ill gotten wealth while their people languish in abject poverty and want!
“We are aware that The rebuild Imo faction of Imo PDP are scared of the intimidating profile & philanthropic successes of prince Alex Mbata & their candidates are unsuccessfully Seeking cheap means to soil his well earned reputation!
We therefore call on Imo people ,especially the good people of Owerri zone that have rallied round their honest illustrious son , Prince Alex Mbata to ignore to be deceived by sore losers & drowning politicians seeking straw to hold unto.
“Prince Alex Mbata will never be deterred by blackmailers & soldiers of fortune in Imo politics!
The glorious dawn is around the corner & enemies of the people are losing their sleep as their ambitions slip away!
“Meanwhile, we thank the entire Owerri zone women from the 320 autonomous communities of owerri zone that trooped out today in their unprecedented large numbers on the invitation of Prince Mbata to celebrate the grand finale of owerri zone women August meeting 2022.
