Arena of Favour Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church World Bank recorded a new milestone with the dedication of a new church auditorium penultimate Sunday.

Dedicating the two storey church building, the Pastor in Charge of Region 15, Pastor Henry Yolo thanked God for the grace to begin and finish the project. He commended the vision of the pastor who nurtured the parish from its little beginning in 2012 to grow to its present status as a zonal headquarter.

Continuing, Yolo thanked the pastorate and the parishioners for their commitment to building a befitting place of worship for God.

In his welcome message, the vision bearer and Pastor of Arena of Favour Zone, Pastor Emmanuel Akinyemi, on behalf of the pastorate and the entire parishioners expressed his gratitude to God for His grace to accomplish the project despite seeming overwhelming odds.


In his words, “On behalf of the Pastorate, the Church Council, my family and the entire members of Arena of Favour, I give all glory to my God Almighty ONLY, the Lover of our souls, our Redeemer, the Qualifier of the unqualified like me, the Owner of His Church, Who has given us a rare opportunity to serve Him in this capacity, the Most Holy God Who accepted our sacrifices. I am saying a big thank you, Lord for your unmerited mercy. Forever I will be grateful to You, Lord and your praise will never cease in my mouth for making today a reality in Jesus name.”

He expressed deep gratitude to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. He also thanked the Regional Pastor, Pastor Henry Yolo for his fatherly guidiance, support and commitment to the project when all hopes were humanly, bleak. While expressing his gratitude to all members of the regional team as well as the Provincial Pastor, Pastor Yemi Phillips and his team and all who contributed in every measure towards the realisation of the project he prayed that the good Lord will continue to bless them in no small measures.

Pastor Akinyemi, in his characteristic total evangelical style challenged the brethren to run the race of faith without tiring in order to receive eternal reward. He said, “As unchanging as our cast on stone decision to make heaven, holiness remains our lifestyle and we are expectantly waiting for the second coming of our Lord Jesus, may we remain rapturable and finish well in Jesus name.”

The colourful programme which was attended by many highly placed priests and Christians from far and near witnessed presentation from various departments of the church including children, teenagers, youths, as well as the men’s and women’s groups and recognition of some people who made grave sacrifices towards the realisation of the project.
