The All Progressives Congress, APC Candidate for Owerri Senatorial Zone in 2023, Prince Alex Mbata (PAM), has received the blessings from Obube, Agbala and Ulakwo (OAU) traditional rulers, as he pushes strongly to emerge the next Senator for Owerri zone.
The royal blessing took place at the palace of His Royal Highness, (HRH)Eze Nnanna Oparachiekwe, Eze Ebubedike the second of Ulakwo autonomous community in Owerri North LGA of Imo State last Friday, when Mbata and his PAMDM Campaign Council visited OAU monarchs.
Blessing Mbata, populary called PAM, the reverred traditional rulers, HRH Nnanna Oparachiekwe, HRH Malachy Onu and HRH Chidi Nwogu, declared that Mbata shall succeed in his senatorial ambition, praying to God to continue to strengthen him and enlarge his coast to meet the teething needs of the people who they said are suffering from under representation.
For Eze Ebubedike, he stated “We have already endorsed PAM for the Senate Seat.
“It shall be well with him.Let God bless him as he seeks to be elected into the exalted Senate Seat” he stated.
In his remarks, the traditional ruler of Agbala autonomous community, HRH Eze Malachy Onu, Olele 3 of Agbala, added “PAM is good to the people.
“No one can say he has wronged him or her in any way and we assure you of our 100% votes.
“You are a worthy son.You have contributed to the social and economic development of your community by building roads and other things for your people” he noted.
The monarch of Egbelu- Obube, HRH Eze Chidi Nwogu, stated that “We will support Mbata to emerge as next Senator of Owerri Zone.
“He does not need to campaign in OAU. If he goes there, he will create jobs. We are hopeful that he will perform excellently having built roads for the community single handedly”.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of Prince Alex Mbata Campaign Council, Chief Henry Njoku (Haritex), noted that Prince Mbata is a popular candidate who has good character and deserves to go to the Senate for Owerri people, urging the people to give him maximum support to win enable him go to the Senate.
“We plead with our Royal Fathers to bless us and back us as we push forth in this campaign.
“We want all our traditional rulers to come out during the flag off, of our campaign and support us because we will not fail you and the entire people of Owerri Zone. Thank you for your acceptance and reception into OAU”.
Appreciating the monarchs for their blessings and good wishes, Prince Mbata pledged that he would not fail nor disappoint the people of Owerri Senatorial District if he goes to the Senate.
According to Mbata, “I am from OAU. I want to go ahead with the campaign for the Senate election hence I decided to seek your royal blessings first.
“I believe God wants to solve our problems through me.
‘I will not disappoint you at the Senate. In fact, I have pledged not to fail Owerri Zone. So, support me massively and wholly.
“Vote for me to enable me be at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly in 2023. I’m proud of our Ezes and the entire people of Owerri Zone. Although, I’m not in OAU to campaign because my people love me for being good to humanity. I shall do more. We are going to the Senate with light and we cannot afford to fail you”.
