Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo State, has said the politically sponsored insecurity in the State would be in vain and would soon come to an end.
Insecurity in Imo State had increased lately following the brutal murder of the Sole Administrator of Ideato North LGA, Chris Ohizu by gunmen.
Uzodimma while speaking to Liason Officers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Owerri, also said the efforts of the opposition in the State would be in futility.
He reiterated his commitment to an open system of governance with power residing with the people.
He assured them that his administration would provide the necessary measures for a free, fair and credible election.
Uzodimma further vowed that he will not be cowed by desperate politicians who are working hard to disfranchise voters in the State through insecurity in the State
