Humphrey Anumudu, one of the thirteen governorship aspirants in the Labour party in Imo State is dead.

Anumudu, a lawyer and serial governorship aspirant, was reported to have been found dead in his house in Lagos on Friday.

Contrary to media reports that he attended a Labour Party meeting at its national secretariat, Abuja, he was absent at the gathering because of ill health.

He hails from Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA and was the younger brother of socialite and founder of Globe Motors, Willie Anumudu, who died in April 2020.

The late politician had purchased the N25 million naira Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for governorship of the Labour Party.

Last year, he had donated 27 buses to the State chapter of the Labour Party, as part of his support to the presidential bid of Mr.Peter Obi
