Prince Alex Mbata (PAM) salutes the people of Owerri zone in particular and Imo state in general as we enter the new year. In a release signed by him, entitled Let us all with thanksgivings to God and Hope in Him welcome the new year, Prince Mbata thanks God for His divine mercy and grace so complete upon His people. He said God’s grace has continued to be sufficient unto His people in spite of all the challenges they faced in the last 365 days.
He said “We have every reason to rejoice and praise God.” Saying, “We are alive today is by His grace” He therefore, enjoined all to reciprocate God’s grace by living according to His deeds, loving, assisting and being in peace with one another, united for the achievements of the common good for all.
He further thanked God for granting the state peaceful elections despite the predictions of doomsayers. He maintained that the reelection of the governor, Sen Hope Uzodimma was an endorsement of his good service deliveries as well as the decision of the generality of Imo people to chart new course of actions in the state under the able leadership of the governor, Sen Hope Uzodimma. He therefore called on Imolites irrespective of political affiliations to rally round the governor as he comes on board for the second term. He prayed for peace, love, unity among the people in order to move the state to greater heights.
He assured Ndi Owerri Zone of his continued dedications to the developments of the human and capital capacities of the Zone. He said, “The time of politics is gone. It is now time for governance. Let us support our governor to deliver the dividends of democracy to the zone as he always done.”
He wishes everyone a peaceful, happy, prosperous and eventful 2024.
