Ohaneze Ndigbo Meets Nnamdi Kanu In DSS Facility

by admin

A delegation from Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Pan-Igbo socio-political group, met with the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Directorate of State Services (DSS) headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.

The meeting, led by Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s President, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, started at around 1:00 pm, but the details of the discussions remain undisclosed.

However, it is believed that the sit-at-home order declared by IPOB to honour Biafra’s heroes in the South-East region was a key topic of discussion.

Thursday, May 30, was declared ‘Biafra Day’ by IPOB to commemorate those who died in Igbo Land during the Nigerian Civil War.

The Sit- At- Home order significantly impacted socio-economic activities in the five South-East states, with many residents adhering to the sit-at-home order.
