The people of Ututu resident in Umuahia ,the Abia State capital have felicitated illustrious sons of the state appointed into top positions in the newly inaugurated South East Development Commission ( SEDC).
In a resolution after their monthly meeting, they congratulated former Governor of the state and Senator representing Abia North in the National Assembly, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for his appointment as the Chairman, Senate Committee on SEDC.
They also lauded a former Labour Minister, Barr Chukwuemeka Wogu who was appointed the Chairman of the the Board of SEDC.
They similarly expressed satisfaction with the appointment of Rt Hon Stanley Ohajuruka as the Executive Director Finance of SEDC, describing all of them as eminently qualified to hold the positions.
In the resolution signed by the Chairman of Ututu Development Association, Umuahia branch, Mr Innocent Kalu and the Secretary, Mr Uchenna Okeke, the people commended both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Senate for the appointments.
” These are men of integrity who have successfully acquitted themselves in public offices, we therefore have no doubt that they will deliver on their current assignments “, the people declared.
They also reflected on the past relationships between the people of Ututu in Arochukwu local government and the appointees, saying that they were men to be trusted.
They urged the SEDC top shots to also remember Ututu in the allocation of projects, while assuring them of the continued support and prayers of Ututu people worldwide.
