The Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. John C. Iwuala, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Imo State and across Nigeria, urging perseverance and prayers amid the current socio-economic challenges.
In his message released on Sunday, April 20, 2025, Iwuala emphasized the significance of Easter as a season of renewal, sacrifice, and hope.
Hon. Iwuala praised Christians for their devotion during the Lenten season, noting their commitment to virtues such as sacrifice, humility, and spiritual revival despite the “rough and rugged situation” brought about by poor governance. He stated, “The lessons of Easter—selflessness, hope, and harmony—are more relevant now than ever. I urge Christians to emulate Christ and remain steadfast in their faith for a better and more responsive government.”
The APGA chairman expressed optimism about the future, declaring that the current hardship faced by Imo residents would soon be a thing of the past. “The days of bad governance are numbered. APGA is strategizing to take over Douglas House, Owerri, and usher in an era of progressive governance that aligns with Easter’s message of renewal and hope,” he said.
Iwuala highlighted APGA’s vision for a peaceful and progressive Imo State, where government policies prioritize social harmony and economic opportunities for all. He called on Imolites to support APGA in its quest to bring about positive change, urging them to join the party’s movement for a stronger and better Imo State.
He also announced that APGA’s youth and women departments would soon rededicate the party to God in preparation for the 2027 elections. “As Christ triumphed over death, so too will Imo APGA triumph, paving the way for a government that truly serves the people,” Iwuala proclaimed.
In his closing remarks, Iwuala expressed confidence in APGA’s ability to restore democracy and good governance in Imo State. “Ndimo shall once again enjoy a government that is truly of the people, for the people, and by the people,” he said, adding that the party’s commitment to democratic ideals would drive its agenda for a brighter future.
