In keeping with his sacred virtues of humility, excellence and humanity, Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi, recently attended the child dedication/thanksgiving service for Master Collins Chijioke, the little son of Hon. Kenneth Emelu, former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Imo State, and his wife at the St. Marks Catholic Church, New Owerri, Imo State,

During the occasion, Dr. Amadi rejoiced with the family, expressing gratitude to God Almighty for the gift of the child.

He seized the opportunity to remind them of the significance of children in families and society, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and guiding them properly.

Dr. Amadi while extolling the character and consistency of the chief host, also reminded the former governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Rochas Okorocha and other guests of the downward trajectory of the state of affairs in Imo under the watch of the present government.

He lamented the deteriorating state of education, particularly primary and secondary education.

According to Dr. Amadi: “It was reported that Imo children could not sit for the national common entrance examination for more than three years.”

To the uttermost dismay of the former governor and other guests, Amadi exposed the worsening security situation in Imo, where majority of Imolites including but not limited to highly placed government officials have been displaced by unknown gunmen.

The Umuekwenne, Ngor Okpala-born human nutritionist, rightly pointed out that even the socioeconomic life of Imo people have been brought to a halt as a result of insecurity.

He however assured that all hope is not lost as a new season of joy and total restoration of peace and prosperity is on the horizon.

In his response, the former governor commended Amadi for keeping abreast of the realities of Imo State, and urged him to remain focused and committed to his mission as power is never given.

Dr. Amadi’s message served as a wake up call for Imo people to take back their state and drive a new roadmap for transformational governance. His presence and words of goodwill will undoubtedly be cherished by the Emelu family and the community at large.

The child dedication/thanksgiving ceremony was well-attended by dignitaries and community leaders, who came together to congratulate Hon. Kenneth Emelu and his wife on the blessing of their child.
