Elvis Agukwe Buries Father May 27

Former Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy and ex-Director of Planning and Strategy at the PDP national headquarters, Nze Elvis Agukwe, is set to lay his father, Ichie Cyprian Agukwe Ezike Ososu (IchieWhum), to rest on Tuesday, May 27, 2027.

IchieWhum, who passed on at the remarkable age of 103, was a revered patriarch of the Agukwe-Ezike Ososu family of Umuegere Village, Ososu Kindred in Okwuabala Autonomous Community, Orlu LGA. He was widely respected as a devout Christian, a community leader of great influence, and a custodian of wisdom and integrity.

In a tribute released by the family, the centenarian was remembered as a man of high moral standards who lived a life marked by dignity, love, and service to his people. His legacy of honesty, discipline, and leadership continues to resonate within and beyond his community.

The funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Parish, Okwuabala, Orlu, followed by interment at his family compound. The event is expected to draw political figures, traditional rulers, clergy, and dignitaries from across the country, who will gather to pay their respects and support the Agukwe family.

IchieWhum is survived by his brother, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and a host of friends from across Imo State and beyond.
