The former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Imo State, Mr. Innocent Igwe,JP has announced the funeral arrangements for his late mother, Ezinne Juliana Nwabuani Igwe (née Obasi Okooroafor).
The revered matriarch, who passed away at the age of 85, will be laid to rest on June 12, 2027, in Aro Atta Village, Ikeduru Local Government Area.
According to a statement signed by Innocent Igwe JP, the funeral rites will commence with the departure of her body from Chetakwa Mortuary in Umudimagu Atta.
A lying-in-state ceremony will take place at her husband’s compound in Aro Atta Village, offering family, friends, and well-wishers an opportunity to pay their final respects.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church Parish, Atta, Ikeduru LGA. The service is expected to be a solemn and spiritual gathering, attended by members of the community and dignitaries from across the state who wish to honor the life of the late Ezinne Juliana.
Interment will follow immediately after the funeral mass at the Igwe family compound in Aro Atta Village.
