In a significant display of cultural unity and visionary leadership, the newly elected executive of the Orluzurumee Socio-Cultural Organization has received the official endorsement and royal blessings of His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Emmanuel Okeke, Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers.
The delegation, led by President-General Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu V. Nzekwe, visited the palace of Eze Imo in Owerri on Friday, June 13, 2025, to formally present themselves and receive the monarch’s support and spiritual guidance as they begin their tenure.
Welcoming the group with warmth and admiration, Eze Dr. Okeke described the new Orluzurumee leadership as “the long-awaited team to restore the pride and promise of Orlu.”
He eulogised the executive as a collection of tested professionals, intellectuals, and dedicated patriots who mirror the true spirit of the Orlu people.
“This is the Orluzurumee executive the Orlu people have been yearning for,” the royal father declared. “You have both the experience and the goodwill to unify our people, reawaken our cultural values, and reposition Orlu for greater relevance in Imo State and beyond. I urge you to work in harmony with the State Government and other critical stakeholders.”
Eze Imo encouraged the team to leverage their diverse backgrounds to champion peace, youth empowerment and community development, noting that Orlu’s destiny must be redefined by its most sincere and capable sons and daughters.
In his response, Rt. Hon. He assured the monarch of the executive’s unwavering commitment to serve the Orlu Zone with selflessness, transparency, and collective spirit.

We will engage the grassroots, partner with the diaspora and align with the State Government to pursue the development Orlu truly deserves.”
