Former member of the House of Representatives for Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima, has commenced a consultation tour across communities in the constituency, drawing large crowds and enthusiastic receptions.
The tour, which took him to Mmahu, Obokofia, Umuorji, Mgbara and Etekwuru communities in Egbema on Tuesday, April 21, witnessed a strong show of support from political leaders, youths, women and children, who turned out to welcome him.
Residents across the communities praised the former lawmaker for maintaining close ties with the grassroots, describing his continued engagement as a mark of responsive leadership.
At Mgbara, Chima visited his maternal home, where he received prayers and blessings from community elders, who wished him success and good health in his political journey.
The visit to Umuorji assumed the tone of a homecoming, with indigenes receiving him warmly and offering prayers for his progress.
In Etekwuru, a large turnout of residents lined the streets, celebrating his arrival with songs and cheers as he moved through the community.
Speaking during the visits, Chima expressed appreciation for the reception accorded him, assuring the people of his sustained commitment to their welfare and development.
As part of the outreach, the former lawmaker distributed cash donations and bags of rice to residents in the communities visited.
The consultation tour is expected to continue in other parts of the constituency.
