A DECISION TO STEP FORWARD: WHY I AM RUNNING FOR THE SEAT OF OWERRI NORTH STATE CONSTITUENCY IN THE IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

There comes a point when observation is no longer enough, when experience must become responsibility, and participation must become representation.
For me, that moment is now.
Over the years, I have worked across multiple layers of governance, engaging systems, institutions, and people. I have seen how decisions are made, how opportunities are created, and where they are missed. I have also remained closely connected to our communities in Owerri North, listening, observing, and learning.
One truth that stands clear at this time is that the gap between the people and the system is too wide. I intend, in all honesty, to bridge this gap through effective representation.
The lack of direct connection affects infrastructure, youth opportunities, education, local business growth, and access to commensurate government support. And it does not close on its own. I will see to it that these changes happen under my watch.
It requires deliberate, informed, and effective representation that is closer to the people. I assure you, my dear people, that I will offer you representation that you will be proud of.
I am stepping forward not to learn the system for the first time, but to make it work for the people. This decision is not driven by ambition alone. It is driven by conviction and passion that Owerri North deserves representation that is not only present, but effective.
We deserve representation that can engage the government with clarity, negotiate with confidence, and return with measurable value. This is my core mission agenda.
Experience must translate into results, access must be used for impact, and leadership must remain accountable to the people. These are qualities within me that can be attested to by many. My track records support this.
As we approach the next electoral cycle, my focus is clear:
To serve as a bridge between the people and government.
To ensure opportunities are not only announced, but accessed.
To ensure representation is not symbolic, but functional.
This is not the beginning of my political involvement. It is the continuation of a journey, now with a mandate that I have nurtured since 2004.
The responsibility of representation is not one I take lightly, and the trust of the people is not assumed; it is earned.
The time to step forward is here. Again, I have put myself forward.
I am ready and willing to serve.
With the will of the Almighty and your support, this aspiration of mine shall be met.
