The newly appointed Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Government House, Owerri, Chief Barrister Enyinna Onuegbu, has declared that he has devoted the remainder of his political life to serving Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and advancing his vision for the state.
Onuegbu made the declaration while formally handing over the affairs of the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning to the newly appointed Commissioner, Surveyor Clement Ikpeama Nwabichie. “I have devoted the remainder of my political life to the service and vision of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma,” he said.
In a post on his verified facebook account, Onuegbu said the ministry had undergone significant transformation under Uzodimma’s Shared Prosperity administration, moving from largely analogue processes to a fully digitalised system. According to him, the reforms have reduced opportunities for fraud, discrepancies and maladministration while improving public confidence in the ministry.
Onuegbu said the reforms were aimed at “restoring public confidence, preserving the dignity of the Ministry, and creating a more investment-friendly environment in Imo State.” He added that the results were beginning to emerge, with investments “beginning to trickle in”, while expressing commitment to achieving more under the administration.
Onuegbu has previously served as Sole Administrator and later elected chairman of Ngor Okpala Local Government Council. He also served as Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Commissioner for Power, Chief Political Adviser and Head of the Political Bureau under Uzodimma. His latest appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, came in September 2026. “It has been a great privilege serving the good people of Imo State in this capacity and, most especially, serving under the leadership of His Excellency,” Onuegbu said, describing the experience as “a rare privilege that I hold very dear.”
