Chief Okechukwu Emereonye, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Aboh Mbaise/Ngor-Okpala Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, has promised to produce 23 millionaires annually in his constituency if elected into the House of Representatives.
Emereonye made the pledge while addressing APGA supporters at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, following his return from an overseas trip.
The UK-based businessman and philanthropist said economic empowerment would be a key component of his legislative agenda, alongside improved security and constitutional restructuring.
He also pledged to pursue legislation establishing state police, arguing that decentralised policing would strengthen security by enabling officers to understand the culture, traditions and peculiar challenges of the communities they serve.
“We must secure our land. Where there is no security, nothing will work. I have seen what insecurity is doing to us, and I continue to watch my people cry every day,” he said.
On national restructuring, Emereonye argued that fundamental reforms and good governance were necessary to address Nigeria’s challenges and improve the living conditions of citizens.
He assured constituents that he would not betray their trust if elected, promising effective representation and initiatives designed to improve their welfare.
