The Imo PDP Campaign Organization, has reacted to the decision of Chief Chibuike Achigbu ,also known as “Akashia” a long standing member of the party to decline his appointment into the Finance committee of the campaign council of the party.
The party described Mr. Akuchie’s action as “regrettable and saddening”
In a statement signed by Onwusoanya FCC Jones, Director of Strategic Communication, Imo PDP Campaign Organization, the party noted that “it is therefore regrettable, yet telling that our own dear Akuchie, would at this inauspicious time in our political history, choose the side of the enemy and turn his back on the people, probably as a result of some personal grievances held against some patriots of the Imo Liberation train, piloted by the captain of the “Make Imo Safe Again”
The PDP noted that “Given unprecedented tragedy that has defined the unelected regime of Chief Hope Uzodimma, in the last three years and more, including:widescale destruction of lives and properties, infrastructural decadence, corruption, harassment of innocent citizens, and all other manners of atrocities, the choice before any true Imolite is not a choice between PDP and APC, but a choice between evil and good.
“The APC under Uzodimma, no doubt represents evil and the most frightening darkness in the history of our State, and the governorship candidacy of Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the PDP is the biggest guarantee of light, as it has shown itself to be the most viable vehicle to return Imo to Imolites in the November 11 governorship election” part of the statement read.
The party further noted that “those who were found worthy to be appointed into the PDP Governorship Campaign could therefore count themselves fortunate to have been deemed worthy to lead the campaign, not just for PDP’s victory, but for the liberation of our people from the stranglehold of the most horrendous, incompetent, bloodthirsty and diabolic regime ever recorded in the history of our dear State”
The party stated “We can assure Chief Chibuike Achigbu, and other misled comrades and brothers of ours that the only side to take at this point is the side that guarantees a restoration of peace and posterity of our dear State, and the doors are always open for them to join the train, because Imo belongs to all of us and we expect that they will, in no distant time, regain themselves and join hands in ensuring that we reclaim Imo from the rancid rascals who have polluted our dear State”
