The Action Alliance, AA, in Imo State, has said reports that the party endorsed the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, are untrue.
In a statement signed by Okponwa Eze, State Chairman, and Salvator Amadi, State Publicity Secretary of the party and made available to INNONEWS, the AA stated , “that the characters who purportedly endorsed Anyanwu, one Anthony Uchendu Ahaneku and his cohorts, are not members of Action Alliance, AA”
The party made it clear that “the candidate of our great Party is retired Major General Lincoln Keonyemere Jack Ogunewe, MFR”
Part of the statement read“ That our candidate is the most qualified and desired contender worthy of inauguration as Imo State Governor on January 15th, 2024, and therefore, there is no reason for any right thinking member of AA to endorse any contender apart from Ogunewe whose intimidating pedigree as former number 2 officer in the Nigerian Army and Defense Adviser to the United Nations stands him out as the best man to RESET IMO”
