The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released Super Eagles squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho and Benin Republic scheduled for October 2025.
Head coach, Eric Chelle has called up three goalkeepers, seven defenders, four midfielders, and nine forwards as Nigeria look to secure vital points on the road to the Mundial.
In goal, Stanley Nwabali, Amas Obasogie, and Adebayo Adeleye made the cut. The defence features William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Felix Agu, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Benjamin Fredrick, Semi Ajayi, and Bruno Onyemaechi.
The midfield department will be marshalled by Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, and Al-Hassan Yusuf, while the forward line is loaded with attacking options such as Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Terem Moffi, Moses Simon, Cyriel Dessers, Akor Adams, Tolu Arokodare, and Olakunle Olusegun.
The squad is expected to resume camp in the coming days as the Super Eagles prepare for the crucial qualifiers, with fans hopeful that Eric Chelle’s men will deliver strong performances to brighten Nigeria’s chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
