Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, has officially quit international football following an emotional message that signalled the end of his journey with the Nigerian national team.
In a post on facebook, he described the privilege of playing for Nigeria as the greatest honour of his life.
The veteran defender poured out his gratitude to the nation, teammates and fans who stood by him throughout his career.
He confirmed that while his chapter with the Super Eagles has closed, his loyalty and support for the team will never fade.
