President Bola Tinubu has paid tribute to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State ahead of his birthday on December 12, describing the Governor as a “dependable ally” and the “true representation of a progressive.”
In a personally signed statement released at the State House on Thursday, the President commended Governor Uzodimma’s commitment to national unity and his stewardship as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF).
President Tinubu noted that the Governor’s leadership embodies the ideals of the administration’s vision, explicitly describing him as the “ambassador of Renewed Hope, a beacon of unity and a force for positive change.” The President observed that Uzodimma actively works to “blur the artificial lines that separate us.”
“Governor Uzodimma is the true representation of a progressive, both in ideal and action,” President Tinubu stated. “He is a patriot through and through.”
Addressing Governor Uzodimma’s role within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the President observed that his selection as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum attests to his “broadmindedness and capacity to rally people together.” The President described his leadership style as “expansive and corrective, accommodating and decisive.”
The tribute also highlighted Governor Uzodimma’s record of public service, spanning his tenure as the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District from 2011 to his current administration in Imo State. President Tinubu affirmed that the state has witnessed “steady progress” since 2020, specifically citing “remarkable” footprints in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security.
On a personal level, the President expressed admiration for the Governor’s intellect and temperament.
“Governor Uzodimma is very affable and has an admirable strength of character. He is a dependable ally. I admire his brilliance and proven problem-solving ability,” the President wrote.
President Tinubu concluded the message by joining the Governor’s family and the people of Imo State in wishing him continued health and service to the nation.
