The State Government is pleased to announce the winners of the Imo @ 50 Quiz, a one-day online civic education competition designed to test the knowledge of Imo people on the history, culture, and politics of the State since its creation in 1976.
The quiz was held on Sunday, 1st February 2026, and attracted a total of 2,313 participants from across the State. Participants competed in a 50-question assessment covering the history, culture, leadership, and development of Imo State over the last fifty years.
In line with established best practice for timed online assessments, entries were assessed and ranked strictly on the basis of total score achieved, with earliest submission time applied as a tie-breaker where scores were equal. Only valid entries completed within the stipulated time were considered for ranking and prize awards.
Following the conclusion of the review process, the following participants emerged as winners of the Imo @ 50 Quiz:

• 2nd Runner-Up: Oguledo Chiedozie Patrick Coleman

In addition, a number of participants who achieved perfect scores within the qualifying window emerged as consolation winners, as reflected in the official results list, which has been posted on the quiz website.
Prize winners are being contacted and will be formally recognised during the Grande Finale of the Imo Golden Jubilee Celebrations, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 7th February 2026, where symbolic presentation of cheques will take place. Already, His Excellency, the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has graciously approved the immediate release of N50 million (Fifty Million Naira) for the payment of prizes to the winners.
To facilitate verification and payment processing, all prize winners are required to immediately forward the following documents:
i. A clear copy of a valid National Identification Card, and
ii. Bank account details (account name, account number, and bank name)
These should be sent to [email protected]. Submission of these details is required in addition to attendance at the Grande Finale.
His Excellency commends all participants for their enthusiasm and commendable display of civic knowledge, and appreciates the widespread interest shown in making the Imo @ 50 Quiz a notable intellectual highlight of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
