The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disowned a viral report claiming it has fixed prices for expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general election.
In a statement on Saturday, Felix Morka, the party’s national publicity secretary, described the circulating “price list” as false and not traceable to the ruling party.
The report, which gained traction on Friday, alleged that presidential aspirants would pay N200 million for nomination forms, while state assembly hopefuls would be charged N20 million.
But the APC said the document was fabricated.
“The attention of the APC has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating in sections of the media regarding a purported price list for expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections,” Morka said.
“The APC states categorically that the report is fake and did not emanate from the party.”
Morka added that the party has not taken any decision regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the next election cycle.
“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections,” he said.
He dismissed the claims as “a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination”.
The APC urged its members, the media, and the public to ignore the report, insisting that any official information would be communicated through authorised party channels.
