The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke and Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori have been named in the expanded All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election. Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola and Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo are also members of the council, which will coordinate President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

President Tinubu will chair the council, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as vice-chairmen, alongside Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. Senator Abdulaziz Yari retains his position as director-general, supported by deputy directors-general, including Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu and Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who will oversee mobilisation. Femi Gbajabiamila will handle administration, Ibrahim Kabir Masari will oversee logistics, former Speaker Aminu Masari will coordinate parliamentary mobilisation, and Minister of Works David Umahi will lead infrastructure mobilisation. James Faleke will oversee election planning and monitoring, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will serve as council secretary.

Wike’s inclusion comes amid reported political differences between him and the Progressive Governors Forum, led by Uzodimma. The disagreements had drawn attention to the relationship between the FCT minister, a former Rivers State governor, and influential figures in the ruling party. His inclusion in the revised campaign structure underscores his continued political relevance to Tinubu’s re-election bid despite the reported tensions.

Wike has been assigned responsibility for coordinating Tinubu’s campaign in Rivers State and the FCT, placing him at the centre of the party’s mobilisation efforts in both areas.

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah and Ijioma Arodiogbu will oversee the South-East zone. Governor Bassey Otu and Victor Giadom will coordinate the South-South, while other zonal coordinators include Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Niger State Governor Umar Bago, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff.

Former APC national chairmen Adebisi Akande and Abdullahi Adamu, former Ogun State governors Ibikunle Amosun and Segun Osoba, former Osun State Governor Iyiola Omisore, Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo, Senator George Akume and Finance Minister Wale Edun are among the council’s advisers.
