President Muhammadu Buhari has been adopted by the United Progressive Party, UPP for the 2019 general elections.
UPP National Chairman, Chekwas Okorie, announced the adoption after meeting with the President at the State House in Abuja.
He revealed that the President’s adoption would be confirmed at a crucial meeting of party leaders to be held next week in Abuja.
He also denied reports that the people of the South East region have thrown their weight behind the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, was also present at the meeting between the President and the UPP delegation.
