Ifeanyi Ararume, a two time senator and former governorship aspirant in Imo State, has debunked media reports that he has quit the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Labour party, LP.
Araraume was in the news last week over allegations that he has joined LP and collapsed his political structure in the 27 local governments into the new party.
In a swift reaction, the former governorship aspirant said the authors of the report are hatchet writers hired to peddle falsehood, saying he would not join any political party through the back door.
The senator, who represented Imo North senatorial district in the senate also described the report as part of “consistent and mischievous attempts by detractors to portray me to the public as politically inconsistent”
“A situation where journalists present blackmail, conjectures, speculations and imaginations as true stories to the reading public, portends danger to the profession and to the larger society,” he said.
