Says It Is A Milestone That Would Reduce Poverty

The South East APC National Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, says Governor Hope Uzodimma has done noble work by securing the
African Export-IImport Bank (AfrexiBank) grant, a feat he said would improve the social and economic development of Imo State as well as reduce penury and hardship among indigent citizens.
Arodiogbu stated that the governor is deeply committed to alleviating the current economic hardship in the state; hence, he used his healthy relationship with the federal government to secure the conditional grant from AfrexiBank.
He explained that over twenty thousand indigent Imo citizens will get fifty thousand naira each from the grant to help cushion the rising economic hardship as targeted by the Federal Government, which he said is going to be implemented by the Imo State Government.
Speaking with our reporter on Monday, Arodiogbu reiterated that the feat by Uzodimma is a benchmark that he believes will encourage indigent citizens to assuage hardship.
Arodiogbu stressed that the grant will also facilitate infrastructural development in the state, assessing President Armad Bola Tinugu and Governor Hope Uzodimma as good leaders who, he affirmed, are always determined to develop the country, sustain peace and security, and meet the welfare and wellbeing of people.
“I commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for attracting the 1.5 billion dollar grant to Imo State with the help of the Federal Government. This feat is a milestone that will go a long way toward assisting the poor to alleviate the current economic hardship in the country. The fund will also strengthen development in the state. Indeed, the Shared Prosperity Administration has achieved so much for Imo State; hence, I call on all well-meaning citizens to continue to lend credence to the government as it edifies the state socially, economically, and educationally via the 3R mantra of rehabilitation, reconstruction, and recovery,” he posited.
Arodiogbu, an astute politician, a renowned medical doctor, a supper philanthropist, and an illustrious indigene of Arondizuogu, Ideato North LGA, who is godly, kind, and development-ddriven, has reassured the ruling party of his firm support and full commitment towards the good of the country.
Arodiogbu observed that AfrexiBank, which was founded in 1993 and has its headquarters in Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt, with Prof. Benedict Okey Orumah (from Ahoada) as its president, plays a leading role in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, saying he is extremely happy that AfrexiBank gives financial services to African States to help them grow economically and socially for enhanced prosperity, peace, and forwardness of the African Continent.
