As a former Special Adviser to His Excellency, Sen Hope Uzodimma, I wrote an article entitled, Must I Be Rude To Defend The Governor? That article was a fallout of WhatsApp conversations. I maintained that to defend the governor, I don’t have to abuse people or allow unnecessary pressures or vile people to force me into their trades. I said, the best way for me to defend the governor was to confront the fictions of the doubters with facts of the believers. The governor has verifiable records of achievements in all areas of governance. This remains his selling points. In such outings, I normally reach out to the relevant government officials for updates even when the debates or was it arguments raged.
This is the same approach I adopt whenever I am responding to people who talk against Prince (Dr) Alex Mbata. I don’t have to abuse anyone of them to defend him because he will never approve that and also, it is not in my character. Prince(Dr) Alex Mbata like I continue to insist, is not the chip of the old block politician with the grab mentality. He is not the kind of a pretender politician who says what he doesn’t mean or means what he doesn’t say. Mbata is not a deceiver politician or the sugar tongue coated one who dazzle and confound people as a demagogue. Again, he is not the type that goes about “gossiping” against others for wads of currency, local or foreign. Sure, he is not the type who does government contracts or sees politics as means of economic survival or social growth.
Prince (Dr) Alex Mbata is who he is as ordained by God. A prince of wealth and consoler and enabler of the dispossessed. He is a leader in spite of his young age and is never in competition or afraid of those he leads. To him, leadership as they say comes through force of personal services. As a hardworking and highly successful entrepreneur, he has continued to devote high slices of his personal earnings to the services of God and humanity. The doubters know about the roads he constructed, home and away. They know his legendary philanthropic outreaches. They know his faith based assistances. They are aware of his scholarship endowments. They see the developments in economy and social of those he empowered across the divides. These doubters know his giant strides in University administrations as a Pro Chancellor and laudable contributions to the tertiary institutions across the length and breath of the nation and beyond.
Doubters are unbelievers without cause. They just doubt for doubting sake like their clansman, Thomas. One thing is always certain, doubters are always put to shame in the end.
Prince (Dr) Alex Mbata has outgrown the doubters by his verifiable track records of positive contributions to the good cause of the society. His honours from the grateful pour in like torrents. He is a great asset to humanity, a rare new breed in politics with zero tolerance to corruption.
Prince (Dr) Alex Mbata is a man worthy of all accolades he receives. This is how it is. And will always be.
