2027: The Mazi Organization Hits Back At OZOPOLF

by admin

The Mazi Organization has responded strongly to statements made by Prince Charles Amadi and the Owerri Zonal Political Leadership Forum (OZOPOLF), accusing the group of launching a smear campaign against Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi, popularly known as Mazi Gburugburu.

In a press release, the group condemned what it described as “infantile political tactics” aimed at discrediting their principal.

The statement, signed by the organization’s spokesperson, Cajetan Duke, JP, expressed displeasure over recent publications allegedly targeting Dr. Amadi. These reports, it claimed, were designed to tarnish the reputation of the Ngor Okpala-born leader and distort his role in Imo State’s political landscape.

The Mazi Organization accused Amadi and OZOPOLF of resorting to personal attacks rather than addressing substantive issues. It criticized the forum as a “baggage-ridden political orchestra” used for self-serving purposes by its leader. The group also promised to release evidence exposing what it termed “transactional politicking” by Charles Amadi in the coming days.

Responding to allegations linking recent resignations within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to an orchestrated affront against Governor Hope Uzodimma, the organization dismissed the claims as baseless. It argued that the defectors to The Mazi Organization were credible individuals who made independent choices based on their convictions, rather than under Dr. Amadi’s influence.

“Prince Charles Amadi’s attempts to frame the defections as an affront to Governor Uzodimma are deliberate acts of incitement for cheap political gain,” the statement read. The Mazi Organization accused Amadi of fostering divisions within Owerri Zone and pursuing a destructive style of politics to maintain relevance.

The group emphasized that Dr. Amadi is not in any political contest with Governor Uzodimma and highlighted their mutual respect. It further commended the governor for his commitment to political stability in Imo State, particularly through adherence to the Imo Charter of Equity.

However, the organization urged Owerri Zone leaders not to rely solely on the governor for their political aspirations. “The people of Owerri should not sleep and wait for the governor to breastfeed us,” the release stated, calling for proactive and united efforts to secure the zone’s political future.

The Mazi Organization also criticized Charles Amadi and OZOPOLF for hiding behind Governor Uzodimma in their political calculations for 2027. It described such actions as cowardly and counterproductive, warning that betrayal and double standards could lead to political self-destruction.

While reiterating Dr. Amadi’s achievements as a scholar, administrator, and entrepreneur, the organization dismissed speculations about his political ambitions. It stated that he remains focused on championing equity and good governance without engaging in premature campaigns or political distractions.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the group’s commitment to Imo State’s development and urging political actors to prioritize collaboration over antagonism. “Charlvon and fellow political workers of iniquity will be consumed by their own acts of sabotage and betrayal if they continue on this path,” it warned.
