Club Brugge midfielder, Raphael Onyedika will be sidelined for up to six weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in his club’s 5-5 draw with Westerlo on Wednesday night. The former FC Midtylland player was helped off the pitch early in the game.

The 24-year-old setback means he will now miss Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Crocodiles of Lesotho and the Squirrels of Benin Republic next month.
Onyedika has featured in eight league games for Club Brugge this season, showing strong form before the injury.
He also scored in Nicky Hayen’s side UEFA Champions League 4-0 win over Monaco last week, further underlining his growing influence at the Belgian club.
