Mazi Franklin Ngoforo, a prominent APC leader from Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, has thrown his full weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, declaring that the people of Ideato North will mobilise massively in support of the President. Ngoforo made this declaration on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the inauguration of the Ideato North chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, held at the Local Government Headquarters in Urualla, in what was a colourful and well-attended event that drew political stakeholders from across the local government area.
In an address that drew thunderous applause from the large crowd of party faithful and community leaders in attendance, Ngoforo said President Tinubu has accomplished a great deal for Nigeria since assuming office. The Arondizuogu-born politician pointed out that the economic and fiscal policies of the Tinubu administration have significantly strengthened the financial position of state governments across the federation, thereby empowering them to deliver greater dividends of democracy to their citizens. He argued that the ripple effect of these policies has been felt by ordinary Nigerians at the grassroots level, even as he called on the people of Ideato North to appreciate and acknowledge the bold reforms driving the country’s recovery.
Ngoforo also used the occasion to highlight the achievements of Imo State Governor, His Excellency Hope Uzodimma, over the past two years, noting that the visible development strides recorded under the Governor’s watch would not have been possible without the robust support and goodwill of President Tinubu. He emphasised that the President’s demonstrated love for Imo State was most eloquently expressed by his decision to appoint Governor Uzodimma as the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors nationwide, a role that places Imo State at the very heart of the national mobilisation effort for the Tinubu administration. Ngoforo urged Ideato North residents to match this gesture of trust and affection with unwavering support for the President.
The event was convened by the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Goodluck Nanah Opiah, who expressed visible delight at the size and quality of the turnout, describing it as a testament to the enthusiasm of Ideato North people for the President’s agenda. Opiah explained that the core mandate of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is to take the achievements of President Tinubu and the APC Federal Government to the grassroots and communicate same effectively to the people in ways they can understand and relate to. The Local Government Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Chief Chidiebere Egboh, popularly known as Ozone, further reinforced the message, declaring that Ideato North Local Government Area is fully primed and ready to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s administration. Chief Egboh called on all residents of the local government, irrespective of political affiliation, to join hands in the project of national renewal that the President has embarked upon. Also contributing at the occasion was Prince Collins Opurozor, the Special Adviser to Governor Uzodimma on New and Electronic Media, who pledged to deploy digital platforms to amplify the achievements of the administration.
