Orluzurumee Confers Prestigious Lifetime Grand Award On Prof. Francis Dike (SAN)

Renowned legal scholar and elder statesman, , has been honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Grand Award by in recognition of his role in restoring peace, reconciliation and unity within Orlu Zone.

The award, formally conferred on Prof. Dike as the Grand Patron of Peace and Reconciliation of Orluzurumee, was presented at his residence in Owerri on Tuesday during a gathering marked by tributes, applause and strong declarations of renewed unity within the apex socio-cultural body.

Leading the delegation, the President-General of Orluzurumee Worldwide, , described the honour as a collective acknowledgement of Prof. Dike’s “exceptional statesmanship, fatherly guidance and unwavering commitment” to stabilising the organisation during one of its most difficult periods.

Nzekwe said the senior advocate played a decisive role in strengthening the organisation through the establishment and support of the Peace and Reconciliation Committee, an intervention he said helped resolve internal divisions and restore cohesion within the body.

“The Grand Patron Award of Peace and Reconciliation of Orluzurumee, specially conferred on Prof. Francis Chukwumaeze Dike (SAN), is in recognition of his exemplary leadership, selfless service and fatherly commitment to fostering peace, reconciliation, unity and sustainable progress within Orluzurumee and the entire Orlu Zone,” Nzekwe stated.

He added that Prof. Dike’s “wise counsel, integrity, courage and unwavering dedication to justice and brotherhood” significantly strengthened unity among Orlu people, describing the elder statesman’s legacy as “a beacon of inspiration for generations yet unborn.”

The Orluzurumee leader further praised the for consistently supporting initiatives aimed at promoting peace, development and collective advancement across the zone. He described Prof. Dike as a stabilising force whose interventions have continued to inspire confidence among stakeholders within Orlu land.

Nzekwe also prayed for continued strength, sound health and wisdom for the legal luminary, while assuring him that the organisation would sustain the ideals of reconciliation, unity and progress he helped nurture.

Other leaders of the organisation, including Vice President-General, ; Secretary-General, ; and Woman Leader, , maintained that Orluzurumee remained united and focused solely on advancing the socio-cultural and developmental interests of Orlu Senatorial Zone.

They stressed that the organisation is non-partisan and driven strictly by the collective aspirations of Orlu people, insisting that previous disagreements within the body had been resolved, paving the way for a stronger and more purpose-driven organisation.

Members of the Orlu Elders Council, including , and , commended the Nzekwe-led administration for what they described as proactive and inclusive leadership that has restored stability and renewed confidence within Orluzurumee.

Responding to the honour, Prof. Dike expressed deep appreciation to Orluzurumee Worldwide for the recognition, describing the award as more than a ceremonial gesture but a solemn call to continue serving the cause of peace and unity in Orlu land.

The respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria applauded the current leadership of the organisation for demonstrating maturity and vision in handling its affairs and urged members to remain steadfast in promoting dialogue, brotherhood and collective responsibility as pathways to sustainable development and social cohesion across Orlu Zone.
