Governor Hope Uzodimma, Prince (Dr) Alexander Mbata and Senator Patrick Ndubueze are among 13 candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) whose names have been published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the National Assembly elections in Imo State.
The list contains the names and particulars of the party’s candidates for all three senatorial zones and 10 federal constituencies in the state, confirming the APC’s nominees across the 13 National Assembly constituencies.
Uzodimma is listed as the APC candidate for Imo West Senatorial District, representing Orlu Zone, while Mr Ndubueze is the party’s candidate for Imo North Senatorial District, also known as Okigwe Zone. Prince Mbata is listed as the candidate for Imo East Senatorial District, also called Owerri Zone.
For the 10 federal constituencies, Emmanuel Uchenna Agasu is listed for Isiala Mbano/Okigwe/Onuimo; Raphael Nnanna Igbokwe for Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte; Cosmos Nwabueze Maduba for Isu/Njaba/Nkwerre/Nwangele; and Nnenna Sandra Anyama for Ideato North/Ideato South.
Others on the list are Ngozi Immaculata Pat-Ekeji for Aboh Mbaise/Ngor-Okpala; Cannicemore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu for Oru East/Orsu/Orlu; Okechukwu Eugene Dibiagwu for Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru West; Tochukwu Chinedu Okere for Owerri Municipal/Owerri North/Owerri West; Akarachi Etinosa Amadi for Ikeduru/Mbaitoli; and Jonas Okeke Onwuegbuchulam for Ehime Mbano/Ihitte Uboma/Obowo.
The publication means the APC has fielded candidates for all 13 National Assembly seats in Imo State, setting the stage for contests across the three senatorial districts and 10 federal constituencies.
