2027 Imo Guber: Popular Prophet Foresees Betrayal, Crisis For Uzodimma After Handover

Prophet Nnamdi Akujor of Overcomers Christian Mission International, Owerri, has cautioned Governor Hope Uzodimma to be cautious in choosing his successor, alleging that the 2027 transfer of power could trigger betrayal, political disagreements and crisis in Imo State. Akujor gave the warning at the weekend while rounding off his sermon at the church’s 2026 International Youth Fellowship Convention in Owerri, according to a report published by Nigerian Horn.

Akujor, popularly known as Brother Nnamdi, said his warning was based on what he described as a divine revelation concerning the state’s political future. He urged Uzodimma to be prayerful and careful about the person who may temporarily take over the reins of government if the governor leaves office to pursue a Senate bid after the 2027 elections.

“Imo State! Hey! I see the political cloud of Imo State very dark. Very, very dark,” the prophet said. He alleged that disagreements between Uzodimma and his successor could develop into political rivalry, disloyalty, threats and conflicts within the political establishment.

The cleric also warned that disputes over succession, zoning and the interpretation of Imo’s Charter of Equity could heighten political tension. He alleged that such disagreements, if not properly managed, could lead to arrests, destruction of property and loss of lives, while calling on political leaders and residents to reject violence and work towards a peaceful transition.

Akujor specifically urged Uzodimma to seek divine wisdom in selecting his successor, warning of what he described as possible betrayal from the person to whom he hands over power. “The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, should seriously pray for God’s wisdom, grace and lack of betrayal, disloyalty from whom he would temporarily hand over power,” he said. The prophet also claimed to have received other revelations concerning President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition, Peter Obi and prominent Christian leaders, before concluding with prayers for peace and stability in Imo State and Nigeria.
