Dr. Macdonald Ebere, Chairman of the Board of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology and immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, has commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for approving the recruitment of 6,030 teachers into the state’s primary and secondary school system.
Ebere described the recruitment as a landmark intervention in the education sector, saying it underscored the governor’s commitment to revamping the state’s school system and securing a brighter future for Imo children.
He said the initiative was not merely about filling classrooms but represented an investment in human capital development and a major step towards ensuring that children across the state have access to quality education.
“This is a defining moment in the history of education in Imo State. Governor Hope Uzodimma has demonstrated, beyond doubt, that he is a leader who matches words with action. The recruitment of 6,030 teachers is a giant leap towards ensuring that every child in Imo State has access to quality education,” Ebere said.
Ebere expressed confidence that the newly recruited teachers, having undergone comprehensive training, would bring renewed energy, dedication and excellence to the state’s education system. He also urged stakeholders and Imo residents to support initiatives aimed at strengthening education and human capital development in the state.
