President Muhammadu Buhari has described the attack on worshipers at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Ozubulu, Anambra State, as shocking and cowardly.
The President in a condolence letter to the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, said “to attack and kill defenseless people while worshiping is the most heinous of all crimes”
The President who is still in London, UK receiving treatment had reportedly had a telephone conversation with Obiano.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja
According to him in the letter sent to Obiano, Buhari said “ the nation is one at deploring this monstrous crime”
“Please, convey to the families and friends of those killed, my condolences for this utterly dastardly crime” the President reportedly wrote
