Former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim has revealed that he never built a house of his own when he was governor from 2007-2011.
The former Governor spoke while delivering a lecture at the BOLD STEP- 4D Conference 2017 organized by the Youth Alive Fellowship of Living Faith Church, Owerri, Imo State.
Newspaper reports in Owerri quoted the former Governor to have said “ I served Imo State, I never built one house. But the story everywhere is that Ohakim embezzled money.

The former Governor also revealed how he was falsely accused of beating up a Reverend Father at that time.
“ There was an empire. Our N4 billion was spent on propaganda against me. I never saw or beat any Reverend Father. I went with my entire cabinet, knelt down before Archbishop Obinna that I want to see the Rev. Father but they refused”
“ Rev.Mbaka told me how an Imo man released money to fight me. Today Imo people know the truth” he said
The former Governor described the current leadership in Imo State as very pathetic, saying the system is screwed negatively towards entitlement mentality.
