Coming on the heels of her recent election as Governor of Amen Montessori Children’s School, Miss Jessica Onyeukwu has been sworn into office at a colourful ceremony which held at the Elite School grounds in Owerri, Friday, November 10, this year.
Flanked by other members of the executive who were also elected “Commissioners” , Barrister Chiagozie Obidiegwu, a legal practitioner administered the oath of office while urging the newly executives to strive to live up to expectations for which they were elected.
In her vote of thanks, the newly elected Governor, Miss Jessica Onyeukwu pledged to work together with other members of the executive to take the school to greater heights.
She thanked the teachers and pupils of the school for the confidence reposed in her and pledged to discharge her duties with the fear of God as their “Chief Servant”
Earlier in her remarks, the school principal, Pastor Sally Ohananya extolled the leadership qualities of the newly elected “Governor”, describing her as a confident pupil who had manifested leadership qualities that will enable her effectively discharge the onerous challenges of the office.
She commended the newly elected executives of the school and expressed confidence in their collective ability to pilot the affairs of other pupils creditably for the next one year.
Mrs Ohanaya urged others who lost the election not to be deterred but remain determined to win in the next election.
Among those who attended the ceremony were the father of new “Governor”,Hon.Sunny Onyeukwu, Special Adviser to the Hon.Minister of Science and Technology, mother of the Governor, Eziada Ogechi Onyeukwu, Mr.Egwu Kalu, a Jos based financial consultant, and a host of others.
