Political leaders, traditional rulers and key stakeholders from Orlu Zone are set to converge on December 10 in what is being described as a strategic move to forge a united political direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, convened by Orluzurumee Socio-Cultural Organization, is aimed at aligning the zone’s leadership and grassroots structures around a common vision of peace, development and collective political interest.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Nnamdi Cos-Ukwuoma, Orluzurumee urged all invited stakeholders to attend, noting that the outcomes of the meeting would shape the political and developmental direction of Orlu Zone in the years ahead.
Orluzurumee, under the leadership of its President General, Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, said the gathering would be an expanded leadership and stakeholders’ meeting bringing together all critical power blocs within Orlu Zone.
The summit is being organised in partnership with the Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Dr. Emmanuel Okeke, a move seen as an attempt to blend political strategy with traditional authority in shaping the future of the zone.
According to the organisers, the meeting will hold at the Mayor Ezenwa Hall, Orlu Local Government Headquarters, by 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Traditional rulers, serving and former political office holders, community leaders and other influential sons and daughters of Orlu Zone are expected to participate in the high-level engagement.
The organisers said the central objective is to strengthen the long-standing mantra of “One Voice, One Destiny, One Orlu,” and reposition the zone as a more cohesive force in Imo State politics.
