Brit Holdings Nigeria Limited has marked its 16th anniversary with a week-long corporate social responsibility programme, featuring a marathon race, talent hunt and free medical outreach for residents.
The anniversary activities were part of efforts to appreciate communities that have supported the company’s business growth over the years.
Speaking at the closing ceremony on Friday, Adejoro Sabbath, Deputy Regional Manager of Brit Properties Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Brit Holdings Nigeria Limited said the programme began on April 4 and ended on May 2, 2026 with several community-based events.
“We thank God for the success of our 16th anniversary programme. The event commenced from the 4th of April, and today we are rounding up with marathon events, talent hunt and CSR outreach,” Mr Adejoro said.
He explained that one of the major highlights of the outreach was held for two days at Gbara Community Senior Secondary School, where residents received free medical services.
According to him, doctors, dentists and other health professionals were available to provide health checks, consultations and other basic medical support for members of the community.
“We have been here since the 30th of April, and today, being the 2nd of May, is the last day,” he added.
He noted that the company had earlier carried out similar CSR programmes in Abuja, Owerri and Uyo before bringing the initiative to Lagos State, adding that Brit Holdings Nigeria Limited remains committed to touching lives through community-focused programmes.
He also disclosed that the marathon race was organised to encourage sports development and healthy living, with participants competing for attractive prizes.
The marathon, he said, started from Gbara Under Bridge and ended at Brit Fruit Vine Estate, Monastery Road, Sangotedo, Lagos State.
“For the marathon event, the winner is going to go home with one thousand dollars. Others will receive five hundred dollars and similar prizes. We also have prizes for the talent hunt, where people will showcase their talents and special skills. This is to uncover talents and also give back to society” he said.
