Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, has kicked against the quit notice to Igbos leave Northern Nigeria issued by a group “ Coalition of Northern Youths”
The Minister in a statement by his Press Secretary, Ehisienmen Osaigbovo, in Abuja, in reaction to a demand by Arewa Youth Council of Nigeria, that Igbos should leave the North, described the call as unwarranted and a spurious act.
He said the Federal Government would not hesitate to bring the full weight of the law on any individual or group violating the rights of other citizens The Minister called on well meaning Nigerians to go about their normal activities as government would bring to bear the full weight of the law on any individual or group violating the rights of citizens of the country.
The Minister strongly lamented the spate of calls for separation and called on well meaning Nigerians to go about their normal activities.
