Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Thursday embarked on a peaceful protest at the party’s headquarters located at No.98 Okigwe road, Owerri.

An eye witness said the protesting party members mainly made of the youths protested against the activities of a serving and ranking senator in the party from the state, Hope Uzodinma.

He was accused by the aggrieved party members of impunity, high handedness, disobedience to all organs of the party from the party from wards, LGA, State to National level including the resolutions of the PDP National Convention.

The protest is coming barely few hours the Senator reportedly said he and other key stakeholders in the party in Imo would not recognize the Charles Ezekwem led State executives.

He said he will fight on until the proper thing is done in the PDP as regards the executives of the party.

The Senator is a strong backer of the Nnamdi Anyaehie faction which has also laid claims to be the authentic State Executives of the PDP in Imo State.

The claims is coming on the heels of the declaration by the national leadership of the party which ratified the Ezekwem state executives as the Non Elective National Convention held in Abuja at the weekend.
