Senator Representing Owerri Zone in the senate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Sunday subtly debunked insinuations of a rift among them.
At Owerri zone PDP stakeholders meeting held on Sunday in Owerri, Senator Anyanwu said “ Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha is my leader in whom am well pleased”.
Ihedioha in is his response strongly warned party members against coming to his house to spread false reports about leaders of the party.
Senator Anyanwu has been rumoured to be interested in running for Imo governorship in 2019. There has not been an independent verification of this claim.
Ihedioha had vied for the governorship in 2015 emerging the party’s governorship candidate. He admitted at the meeting that he has not dropped his aspiration either.
