The call was made by a front line APGA governorship aspirant in the state, Mr. Okey Ezeh, on Wednesday while conferring with the Executive of the party in Nwangele LGA as part of his visits to the various structures of the party across the state. Mr. Ezeh said the reign of career politicians has done the state more harm than good.

The management consultant deplored the Imo situation, particularly its gargantuan debt profile and festering unemployment, and averred that the name “Okey Ezeh” is a metaphor for progressive change, transformation and the rebirth which the state yearns for. He highlighted that his mission is a technocratic intervention that has become expedient as a result of the intolerable economic condition of the state and assured the people that with his blueprint, which is the Imo Marshal Plan (I-MAP), prosperity will definitely be delivered to the people.

Mr. Ezeh expressed satisfaction with the strength of the party in the LGA and extolled the Chairman, Hon. Pat Amaefule for his extraordinary leadership and abiding commitment to the values of the party. He assured the party faithful that 2019 will certainly bring resounding victories to the party and charged them never to rest in their oars.

* OKEY EZEH CONSULTS WITH NKWERRE APGA*

It was an exciting moment in Nkwerre LGA of Imo State on Wednesday when an APGA front line governorship aspirant, Mr. Okey Ezeh, visited the area to consult with the party leadership and seek their support for his vision to reinvent Imo State. The overwhelming turnout of the people and their many surprises, especially their various musical displays, added glamour to the event.

In his address, the Nkwerre LGA Chairman of the party, Hon. Ben Emenike, thanked Mr. Okey Ezeh for being a trusted, reliable and steadfast party man whose benevolence to the members of the party goes beyond politics. He recalled with a sense of appreciation the contributions and sacrifices of Mr. Okey Ezeh when APGA was completely deserted. He assured Mr. Ezeh that they will be sincere and fair in all their activities and also promised to uphold the regime of transparency and due process which the apex leadership of the party seeks to institutionalize.

Also speaking at the event, a former member of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gozie Nwachukwu, called on the APGA family in Nkwerre to give full support to Mr. Ezeh’s vision of ushering in a total turnaround in the state. He said the economy of the state is in tatters and it requires a roundly competent technocrat like Mr. Ezeh to salvage the situation. He advised them to shun men of empty promises, even as he assured them that Mr. Ezeh who they all know and have closely worked with will certainly never disappoint them.

APGA in Imo State became nearly comatose after its unimpressive outing in 2015. Most candidates it had fielded did very little in rejigging the party to be robust for future electoral outings. However, the intervention of Mr. Okey Ezeh and a few others helped the party come back to life. To Mr. Ezeh, who has never been a member of any other party all through his life, APGA is not just a political party. It is, most importantly, a movement that is infused with the spirit moral rectitude, social regeneration, economic rebirth and political resurgence of the people.

In his speech, Mr. Ezeh hailed the party Chairman for his outstanding leadership which has kept APGA growing from strength to strength in the area. He said the essence of his visit was to reassure the party faithful that victory for the party will be a certainty come 2019. The consummate technocrat, impressed with the unity and love among the leaders of the party in the area, enjoined them to continue apace. He urged them to work for the emergence of the right candidates in the party so as to end the painful history of political passersby using and dumping the party.
