Barr C.O.C Akaolisa, running mate to Imo APC governorship candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has revealed that Owerri zone will eventually produce the deputy governorship candidate to the Senator.
In a statement posted on innonews.com.ng whats-app platform on Monday, Akaolisa said he holds on to the deputy governorship ticket temporarily which he said was agreed will go to Owerri zone.
He said he had kept mute on the issue based on his desire to ensure that he speaks at the right time, revealing that the campaign team is dialoguing with Owerri zonal leadership to secure the finest deputy governorship candidate from the zone.
He wrote “Since our triumph in the seemingly impossible APC governorship battle in Imo, and my temporary deputy governorship candidate status, I have refused to speak based on my desire to ensure that I speak at the right time. I am however constrained to assure our teaming Imo supporters that I shall not hold on to the ticket for deputy governor which we have agreed will go to Owerri zone. The leadership of our campaign is dialoguing with Owerri zonal leadership to secure the finest deputy governorship candidate from the zone. I therefore urge all our supporters to disregard the rumour that Senator Hope Uzodinma will surrender the ticket for an Owerri person and take the senate ticket.
He said Senator Uzodinma will liberate Imo State from exploitation and raise the standard of peace, happiness and joy that flows from democratic governance and technological growth.
